Somatic Liberation Circle - A Place to Land (Picnic Potluck & Somatic Movement)
SAT MAR 28, 12 - 2 PM CDT (SAT MAR 28, 12 - 2 PM CDT)

A free, in-person gathering to move, share, and soften the weight we carry in a difficult world.

In a time when simply being aware of the world can feel heavy on the nervous system, this gathering is an invitation to come together in shared humanity.

We will spend time in gentle somatic movement, open conversation, and quiet presence—allowing what has been held inside the body to move, soften, and be witnessed.

No fixing.
No judging.
No pressure to share.

Just space to be human together.

Date: March 28
Location: Menil Greenspace

Why This Gathering Exists

Many of us are feeling the weight of the world in our bodies.

The grief.
The fear.
The anger.
The tension of trying to stay aware without becoming numb.

When these experiences stay unspoken and unprocessed, they can settle into the nervous system as heaviness, exhaustion, or disconnection.

But something powerful happens when we gather in honest presence.

Simply speaking what is real allows the energy to move.
The weight becomes shared instead of carried alone.

This circle is an experiment in collective care.

A place where we can hold both love and grief.
Hope and anger.
Light and darkness.

Without needing to resolve any of it.

What We’ll Do Together

This gathering will include:

• A brief opening circle
• Space for optional sharing and listening
• Guided, gentle somatic movement to release tension from your body
• Time to simply sit, rest, or witness
• A relaxed picnic afterward

Participation is always optional.

You are welcome to:

• Share or remain silent
• Move or simply rest
• Come and go as needed

Your body and your boundaries are the guide.

About the Facilitator

Hi, I’m Bianca.

I work at the intersection of somatic movement, yoga philosophy, and nervous system regulation. My work is grounded in the belief that healing happens not only individually, but collectively—through presence, witnessing, and the wisdom of the body.

This gathering is not a workshop or a program.
It is simply an offering of space.

Closing Invitation

If you’ve been feeling the weight of the world in your body, you’re not alone.

Let’s gather.
Move.
Breathe.
Speak what is real.

And remember that we are still human together.

RSVP below to let us know you'll be there.
